After a delay in our usual 5-day and 10-day QuickShip service, we’re happy to announce that these expedited coil delivery options are once again available.
Before we get into the details of the temporary QuickShip suspension, we want to sincerely apologize to both our Independent Manufacturer’s Representatives and their end user customers. We know that coil emergencies happen, and we’re proud to have been the reliable solution to those problems for the past several decades.
For those of you who stuck with us during this transition, and were able to accept our longer-than-usual delivery times, thank you for your patience and loyalty. And for anyone who was forced to go elsewhere because we couldn’t meet your timelines, we hope you’ll give us another chance the next time you need coils in a hurry. As we’ll explain, we see no reason for a disruption like this to occur again in the future.
What caused the problem?
As we announced near the end of last year, we embarked on an aggressive plan to make major upgrades to our manufacturing plant in 2024. We made significant investments in new machinery and technology – particularly in our sheet metal department. These improvements were made to increase quality and consistency, as well as to reduce lead times. And while those objectives have now been met, our lead times were negatively affected in the short term.
The transition from older, more manual equipment to state-of-the-art, high-tech machinery just didn’t go as smoothly as we anticipated. Additional updates were required to meet our internal high safety standards which are above and beyond industry standards. Providing the highest quality workplace ensures our employees are safe and effective and happy to provide the same level of quality and service to our customers as you deserve.
Looking to the future with confidence.
Now that the “growing pains” are behind us, we see nothing but upside to our equipment investments. We have indeed revolutionized our facility, which is now (finally) paying off with both quality improvements in precision and consistency, as well as faster turnaround times.
Again, we apologize for the temporary disruption in our QuickShip service – and the problems it caused for our valued customers. We can assure you that our modernized manufacturing facility is now fully “up to speed” and back to the kind of lead times you’ve come to expect from Marlo over the years.
A quick reminder on QuickShip basics:
