When a commercial HVAC system or industrial process goes down due to a failed coil, every hour counts. Whether it’s a manufacturing facility, hospital, office building, school, or data center, waiting weeks for a replacement coil simply isn’t an option. Lost productivity, uncomfortable occupants, and interrupted operations can quickly become far more expensive than the replacement coil itself.
Unfortunately, long lead times have become an all-too-common reality in the HVAC industry in 2026. Supply chain challenges, labor shortages, and limited manufacturing capacity have left facility owners and managers waiting weeks – or even months – for replacement coils. But at Marlo, we believe your replacement coils shouldn’t be the reason your operation stays offline.
That’s why we offer QuickShip, a program designed to get qualifying replacement coils manufactured and shipped in as little as five days.
Downtime Is Expensive
Unlike planned equipment replacements, coil failures rarely happen at a convenient time.
A leaking or frozen coil can quickly reduce system capacity or shut down an air handling unit or manufacturing process entirely. For many facilities, that can mean:
- Production delays or shutdowns
- Electronics failing due to over-heating
- Lost revenue
- Employee discomfort
- Compromised indoor air quality
- Temperature-sensitive processes put at risk
- Emergency repair costs
The faster a replacement coil arrives, the sooner normal operations can resume.
A Modern Facility that is Built for Speed
In an environment where many coil manufacturers are struggling to shorten lead times due to production bottlenecks or limited manufacturing capacity, Marlo is well positioned to deliver coils quickly. Over the last several years, we have invested heavily in a modern, high-tech factory built around lean manufacturing principles. Continuous investments in advanced, automated equipment and streamlined production processes allow us to produce replacement coils faster than many other manufacturers – without compromising quality, of course.
It all starts with our MarloMetrics coil selection software, which allows our Independent Manufacturer’s Representatives to quickly customize and quote coils in the field, generate submittal packages and transmit orders direct to the factory – greatly speeding the ordering process.
Once a QuickShip order is received, it is prioritized and placed in our production queue. Then our lean facility takes over, utilizing a range of sophisticated, high-speed equipment – including automated laser cutters, tube benders, fin presses and press brakes, as well as robotic welders – to maximize efficiency in every production process. In addition to speed, this high-tech equipment also assures precision at every step.
Which Coils Qualify for QuickShip?
Our QuickShip program includes options for 5-day, 10-day and 15-day service. However, the vast majority of QuickShip orders are truly urgent, and require production in just five days. To be clear, 5-day QuickShip service means that coils will be shipped from our facility within five days of the order being placed, if the order is received by 9:30 a.m. the day of ordering.
All of our chilled water and hot water coils (W coils), and standard steam coils (S, V, D and H coils) are available for 5-day service. 10-day QuickShip service is available for those coils, as well as pitched core fluid coils (P coils), expansion coils (E coils) and condenser coils (C coils). The following restrictions/limitations apply to all QuickShip orders:
- Coils must have copper tubes
- 5/8” tube coils are limited to 44 tubes high
- 1” tube coils are limited to 28 tubes high
- All coils are limited to 12 rows deep
- Fins must be .007” to .016” thick
For 5-day QuickShip service, additional restrictions may apply, including coils with welded casings, copper ferrules, non-standard serpentines and/or specialty materials or connections. It’s always best to check with your local Marlo representative to assure that the specific coil you need qualifies for the program. To find your rep, you can search by zip code.
When Disaster Struck, Marlo QuickShip Came Through
The value of Marlo’s QuickShip program was put to the test during Winter Storm Uri, the historic Arctic outbreak that gripped Texas in early 2021. What began as an unusually strong cold front quickly became one of the most disruptive weather events in Texas history, bringing subfreezing temperatures to all 254 counties. In some locations, temperatures remained below freezing for more than 100 hours, placing extraordinary stress on buildings and mechanical systems that were never designed for such prolonged cold.
More than 4 million electric customers lost power as the Texas electrical grid struggled to meet record demand, and all types of commercial buildings suffered extensive damage from frozen plumbing and HVAC systems. Thousands of chilled water, hot water and steam coils froze, ruptured, or were otherwise damaged, leaving facilities unable to restore normal operation even after power returned.
As facilities across Texas scrambled to recover, demand for replacement HVAC and process coils skyrocketed, leaving customers facing weeks or months of downtime. Fortunately, Marlo was able to respond, taking advantage of our high-tech, lean manufacturing facility to produce replacement coils for many affected customers in as little as five business days. That rapid response helped numerous facilities restore their systems and return to normal operations much sooner than they could have with traditional lead times.
This is just one example of the Marlo QuickShip program coming through for customers when it mattered most.
More Than Just Fast Manufacturing
Needless to say, speed alone does not make a coil manufacturer successful. A replacement coil is a critical HVAC or process component that must fit properly, integrate seamlessly and perform as required in the existing system. Marlo’s experienced engineering team works closely with contractors, engineers, facility managers, and manufacturer’s representatives to ensure that every replacement coil is manufactured to meet the specific needs of each project.
Whether replacing a standard coil or developing a custom solution for a complex retrofit, our goal is the same: Deliver the right coil, as quickly as possible.
When Time Matters, Choose Marlo
Equipment failures don’t wait for convenient schedules, and neither should your replacement coil supplier. Whether you’re responding to an unexpected coil failure, recovering from extreme weather, or simply trying to minimize operational downtime, Marlo’s QuickShip program is designed to get your HVAC system or manufacturing process back up and running as quickly as possible.
When your facility is down, every single day matters – and having the right coil manufacturing partner can make all the difference.
