Sr. Cost Accountant

Applies principles of cost accounting to conduct studies that provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems.   

• Provide cost/gross margin analysis for all products in a timely basis after shipment.
• Provide analysis and support for the Program Management and EAC/ETC Analysis.
• Calculate and submit monthly Progress Billing for appropriate orders.
• Calculate monthly % Complete Revenue Recognition entry.
• Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program.
• Assist in Month end Close of the General Ledger and provide General cost analysis to support all departments as required.   

Basic Qualifications
8 – 10 years in Financial/Accounting Field with a strong cost systems experience and strong Excel skills with the ability to use MS Outlook and Word.
Accounting experience within a Manufacturing Environment.
     
Additional Desirable Skills and Knowledge
Excellent analytical skill; sound understanding of accounting principals.  Experience working with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.  Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
